I've got the 680, and I strongly recommend it.
650 is great if you don't need msndirect (traffic updates, etc).
I have the 660, great unit. This one doesn't have the FM transmitter and Bluetooth. Both 650 and 660 have been discontinued by Garmin, BTW.
For any Nuvi unit, I'd recommend getting the beanbag mount. The windscreen suction mount... (yes, you know it is coming) sucks. With the beanbag mount, it is easier hiding the GPS, making your car less of a thief magnet.
Amazon.com has a new one for $198.89
I like my garmin nuvi, it's worked great for 2.5 years and still going strong. I agree with #2, with the windscreen suction you either leave the mount up or when you take it down you can see a mark where it was and both would encourage thieves to at least look in your car to see if you left the gps in it.
I own this unit and it's great. Buydig.com has it for $167.47 with free shipping.
I second the bean bag mount recommendation
i have this and it says im a canadian bacon
I've got a nuvi too and the windshield mount broke and then the power adaptor broke. The unit still works but without the power cord, I can only use it to got places that I know how to get to.
go with the 680 or above, the 55 series is pretty hot! I love my garmin, although it seems to have issues in San Antonio Texas for some reason
Yeah, 680 and above is better. I had a 360 before, it was great, but I am looking on 880 laterly.
