I had one of these and returned it. The voice would cut out all the time and hard to understand. Got a 265wt and it is way better. Maps are better too. FM transmitter is a joke.

750 and 265 use the same maps and voices as do most all modern Garmin GPSs. Garmin offers free map updates within the first 60 days.

It could be FW problem, some of older versions prone to voice stutter. Latest one 4.8 seems to be fine.

Update the firmware and it should perform better. But this one does not have BT. You will find it is really useful when there is call come in and becomes handfree phone.

#5: Yes. And you could find out for yourself if only you would go to Garmin.com and look.

I checked the map updates section but I need to hook up the GPS and install software first. I checked out the buy maps section but it doesn't tell me when the DVD was released.

I have a GPS that I'll be using next month but I'm trying to hold off on using it. I don't want to miss being eligible for an update by days if a new one is coming out soon.
