there is a $5 off coupon over 20 dollar for yugster, make it the total $183
Junk, takes forever to get a satellite lock. Search for "nuvi 750 long time to find satellite" & find the complaints. I had to return my $199 Costco special for that reason & the spoken voice directions would keep cutting out.
There is the 3.5" screen for about the same price that include Traffic thingy.
Agree with #2. Also, it was too slow in giving directions. It would tell you to turn after you already made the turn!
Nuvi 7xx used to have many problems with firmware 4.0 and 4.2 that #2 and #4 mentioned. If your Nuvi firmware 3.x then do not upgrade higher then 3.2 If your firmware is 4.x then upgrading to 4.6 resolves most of the known problems.
#5, does the firmware update fix the bad route selection and also the horrible maps? My 750 had 2009 maps and there was a major street missing.
I have the Nuvi 750 and it's not that bad. It can take upto a minute to acquire satellite link but by the time I'm actually moving, it's ready. My only complaint is that it will sometimes take me through the middle of a town when there's a major route that would have been much easier and made much more sense, time difference was negligible. But from what I hear, that's common for mobile GPS units.

Navteq maps that Garmin uses considered to be best in US. Routing is calculated based on the map data. There was a recent NA map upgrade 2009.11 , give it a try. Garmin also announced lifetime map upgrade program that includes quarterly map upgrades. If you are not happy with Navteq maps in your area then get a TomTom that uses Teleatlas maps.
#8, thanks for the info. I had a Nuvi 360 and it was much better than the 750. I have already returned the 750.
Garmin is the only GPS i trust.
The Garmin 750 is the most worthless GPS I have ever owned. Loading the maps from the initial screen takes almost 40-60 seconds. Also, the FM TRANSMITTER is so weak it just doesn't work period!! I called Garmin regarding this issue and their tech support said "The FM Transmitter is too weak to work in some cities" - basically indicating its a feature that doesn't work but we decided to put it in anyway so you will buy it. That is the most ridiculous response I have ever gotten from a company. My advise would be to avoid the Nuvi 750 at all costs.
Gps are getting cheaper by the minute.
