      the days of the GPS unit are numbered. too many phones have gps built-in. if you need one a standalone unit, expect the prices to go way down soon.

      My phone has gps and I still rather use a standalone..bacon doesn't compare. You don't want to do a 12 hour drive using a phone gps.

      I agree w/ #3. These things work well even if there is no cell/data service available and won't drain your phone battery. Plus I can't imagine what it would've cost me in international data surcharges to use the phone while navigating through Europe.

      The Phone GPS is a great secondary, but I'll stick to the Garmin as the primary.
