For this much, why not get one of those $5-600 32" HD ready TV's (Olevia, for example) instead? Am I missing something that makes this worth more?

      #2 like #3 says, resolution.

24" is 1920x1200. HDTV's are 1280x720 or 1366x768. Which makes resolution for computer desktop crap (equiv of a 19" WS monitor)

and if u are planning to get 1080p, it will cost a lot more.

Ah, yes. I actually thought of resolution after I posted. Aren't you supposed to call me an rodeo cowboy or something?

It's not about being fair, it's about calling people by what they deserve to be called.

A 22" runs for about less than $250. Why such a price jump? Is it because this has more inputs than just vga and dvi?

Personally I would rather get two 1600x1200 LCDs + Ultramon utility for less than you would pay for one 24". For large screen LCD, I recommend the Westinghouse LVM-37W3 37" 1080p LCD 1920 x 1080 for $360 more ($999) shipped to CA from buydig.com. That is not 'a lot' more. Google it and see the rave reviews. It's an awesome monitor that happens to be a great HDTV if you have HD sources.
