Today only. Sears has the GearWrench 8 pc. Standard Full Polish Reversible Ratcheting Combination Wrench Set for $70 - $34 off in cart = $36 with free in-store pickup or $7 shipping. Includes sizes 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16 and 3/4 in.
Gearwrench stuff carries the same forever warranty as Craftsman. If it breaks, just bring it into Sears and they'll replace it on the spot.
I have these in metric and they work great. There is a weird nut stop so they only slide on the nut one way. Sometimes that's a good thing, but sometimes it's not. Also, the smaller sizes are longer than standard combo wrenches.
#6 - I think Craftsman hand tools are that great. No need to feel sorry for me. When I screwdriver rusts, bends, or breaks, I trade it for a new one. When a shovel handle snaps after 15 years of use, I trade it in for a new one. The tools are made well and the price is fair for the quality. I'm not a professional mechanic, so no Snap On truck visits my job site and I don't know what I'm missing.
^ True, you have to spend a lot more to step up another notch in quality, they are capable tools with good finish and the warranty is icing on the cake.
Just checked and you're right #5. When I bought these years and years ago they did not have a lifetime warranty.
There is a HUGE gap in price between Craftsman and Professional grade tools. I will never be anywhere near that level, so I'll just stick with craftsman.
These are awesome...I was worried about ratchet quality, but have yet to break one. Great price.
Not Craftsman. SHould that be a negative? Will I be sending even more oney to China?
Ha, ha, GW is actually very highly rated.
What's a Polish wrench? Does this mean it only works backwards?

I feel sorry for those that think craftsman is such a good thing.
