39 square inches of cooking surface.
I hope you're not hungry.
Fish on these? Ya, the fish comes out great, but the whole house smells after that.
if you are a house owner then you should get a real barbecuing grill. on the other hand if you live in an apartment and miss grilling food then definitely get one.
#2, I noticed a similar problem, but the range hood exhaust fan in my apartment took care of that.
These are nice for bachelors, but have gone for $15 in the past few years. Paying $20 for one now would just seem foolish, imho.
Ben posted a deal yesterday on one from Walmart, which has a larger surface (72 square inches) and removable plates for $30.

Even if you have a "real" grill, this one is nice because you don't have to go outside. The asswarmer on this thing is utterly useless unless you happen to be 2 feet tall.
don't waste time with these tiny grills.
These are fine if you live by yourself, or if you cook for one. Two burgers works for me.
Go for the bigger one that #5 posted.
The small grill size is fine if you're just cooking for yourself. I have one this size and it cooks burgers within a few minutes, so even if you're hungry you can have 2 in less than 10 minutes. Easy to clean in the sink too.
I have three of these. They work well. The only complaint is that they do not have the removable plates which makes it a drag to clean. Best to buy one with removable plates make the clean up easier.
George Forman grills are great. We have an outside one with a speaker for an mp3 player. So much easier to clean that the bar-b-q which has been discarded since. Easy to cook, easy to clean... superb!
I can't believe these are still around.
I still have mine and it's great for chicken and burgers!!!
This is plenty big enough for a single person's entree; it's convenient and the clean-up is a snap.
