Unless you have a real jonesing for indoor burgers on a "grill" type item, I'd pass. I have a similar version from George that is in it's box, and ignored. Been there for the last three years. I have a Cuisinart q-4 that that takes care of my inside needs.
If you must do an indoor grill, get a panini grill. If if can use an outdoor grill, just get a small one like a Hibachi grill.
Someone gave me one as a gift, I too left it sitting unused for a long time but if I were cooking less at a time or it wasn't summer so the outside grill was used less, I'd use this more often as it does a nice job of draining fat away and cooking reasonably fast.
I have this exact model which is larger than most Foremans and therfore more versatile. For an apartment dweller with no outside coooking option it works great, and I do pannini on it all the time. It has many uses: panini, grilled veggies, burgers, fish etc. Now that I own a home with a yard and a "real" grill, it doesn't get as much use, but drains the fat off a split sausage so well (or anything else fatty) that I won't cook one any other way, including a BBQ. Also, if someone wants to toss a grilled item back on the barbie, just use this thing without having to go outside again. Well worth it for $16.
