Im looking for a replacement board for Intel CPU
#2, assuming socket 775, I've had good luck with Asrock's G31 mATX boards. They are pretty cheap, and actually do minor overclocking OK (not much in the way of fine tuning, though.) DDR2 memory support. They don't offer much except for low price, but at least they're not ECS...
I dunno, would I be better off with a 790XX chipset?
#4, I had the same question, and after reading a few articles on it, I don't think it matters that much. From what I've read there's not enough of difference to be a tiebreaker. DDR3 support and the AM3 socket are the big items at this price level.
