Amazon has the Gladiator (Sapphire Series) Blu Ray for $10 with free shipping on $25. The Sapphire Edition includes special features such as two audio commentary tracks, a trivia track, and a Making of featurette.
#3 HD movies are cheaper because they only work with a dead 2nd rate technology that no one wants to buy anymore. (Nothing personal intended, have an awesome BF).
THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME FOR THOSE CRITICS AND YES PEOPLE STILL WATCH SPECIAL FEATURES. YOU GUYS THINK $10 IS CHEAP FOR BLU RAY? YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY, THIS IS AN AWESOME DEAL!
Don't be silly #8, HD is superior due to having cheaper players and discs, and fewer licensing fees.
There are also technologies that have even more capacity for even higher price so "2nd rate" is just an ignorance of what makes a good consumer storage and playback medium with the most mass appeal.
Point being, most people have no ability to distinguish between content encoded at the slightly higher bitrate, and many films don't even take up the entire capacity unless they try hard to add extra crap you don't care about.
It won't be all that long till the successor to HD-DVD comes along and dethrones BD, because the industry does not like bending over for Sony. Remember Betamax.
dont they still air this on cable? and ain't this old? I dont know about movies being put on blu-ray... also, Russell Crowe is the same character in EVERY film. best pictures get paid for their selection anyway... in my opinion
It was a good movie. Not sure that I would buy it since I do not care about the extra "special features".
Special features are over rated.
I just can't commit to BlueRay yet. I still love my HD. I wish it was still around. THe movies are much cheaper as well.
Do people actually watch the special features/commentary?
I have the DVD with speacial features. It is a great movie!
I do not watch special features. Downloaded DivX does not usually come with such fancy stuff.
This movie sucks hard.

I'm surprised, nobody's mentioned the deleted arrows and spears. In any case, this movie is now $12.99 + SH.
