Maybe, but this is available now and me personally, I never had an apple product so ipad in any size is not for me.
I have both Nexus 7 and iPad. I actually enjoy my Nexus more.
Great tablet, better price than on the google play store.
The great thing about the ipad mini is that it will drive down the prices on this sucker, as can already be seen starting. personally, I can't stand the idea of a tablet with no external storage. There's a hack to enable it via USB but so far all they got is a dangling protrusion. Somebody has to come out with a fingernail-sized USB storage thingy that will fit this one.
I wanted to get a Nexus 7 and I had an old 2nd gen iPod touch to get rid of so I turned it in to Gamestop. They had some promo going for "i" devices to receive extra trade-in, ended up getting the 16GB Nexus 7 for about $170 with taxes plus the $25 Play credit.
