eBay with Adorama has the Asus ASUS-1B16 Google Nexus 7 16GB Android Tablet for $249 with free shipping. Includes a Blue or Grey travel case with purchase.
Thanks for the comment, dgower. This is the regular price for the tablet, but this one also includes a case so it's good if you were planning on buying a case for the tablet anyway. Here's a link to Adorama's product page for the case so you can get a better look at it: http://www.adorama.com/ASXB3TOA0.html
Not as good as an SD slot, but you can use an OTG cable to use USB devices such as memory stick, keyboard, mouse... It supports a USB hub. I've even used an external hard drive without problems. Requires unlocking and rooting the Nexus 7. Really takes care of the only complaint I had about it. I love mine, although I'm not as impressed by the battery life as most reviewers. It's no iPad, but it's hard to complain at half the price.
Limited onboard storage is Google's way of shoehorning you into getting your media from the PlayStore, it's the same thing Amazon is doing with the Kindle Fire. That's how they can price these devices so low; they'll get you on the back end. What I don't understand is why they don't just sell 2 versions. I would gladly pay an extra $50 or $100 for an SD slot on a Nexus7. Unfortunately, those of us craving a Jelly Bean tablet with expandable storage are just SOL.
How is this a deal? It is the regular price. If fact cheaper elsewhere with cashback or even slightly lower price.

Barbarossa, looks like you got a "." in your link. So it says "We're sorry; the page you requested can't be located".
Here is that link again (without the period): http://www.adorama.com/ASXB3TOA0.html
..
not an amazing deal... I'd rather have the choice to get my own case and get cash back..
and I'd rather have a Nexus tablet with an SD slot. Neither of us gong to get what we want.
