#1: Look sugartits, what's $8? It's nothing. Ben wipes his ass with $8. It's insignificant to him and it should be to you as well.
Of course, I would never buy a cell phone to begin with. burp these things. People are slaves to these things. My sausage is too big to deal with this crap.

AT&T: Run by a whole lot of people just like dr_toddsucks.
Can anyone recommend one of these for a senior who has never used a cell phone before?
#5, find one with big buttons, big display, and a distinct on/off button. and don't forget a long stand-by time because they will forget to charge it. good luck, and prepare for a bunch of hang-up calls from whatever number they get

#7 ... I've (a "senior") been with STI Mobile
http://www.stimobile.com/
for two years now, since one night when a drunk ran me down and demolished me and my car, and I couldn't get anyone to stop and call 911 for 10 minutes.
This is the lowest cost I could find at $3.05/month if you don't use it (just have it for emergencies), and it's 10 cents a minute when you do, so pretty good deal if you don't plan to use it much. No "expiring minutes" and all that stuff. No contract. I presume it's still the best deal.
You only have to make one phone call every 60 days (can be for just one minute) to keep your account active. So it's $3/mo plus one ten cent phone call every 2 months if you don't otherwise use it (thus $3.05/mo).
Looks like right now you can get the Sanyo phone that I have, basic and nice, for $40 WITH $20 of air time included, lot better than when I got it. I like the service. like the phone, and like the price. Be sure to check the coverage area map for service where you want it.
I think they use the Sprint network. And yes, you'll get a dozen or two "wrong numbers" a month, a lot from collection agencies, looking for the former owner of the number.
Good luck.
