I have a question: If I wanted to play any of those mods like the "zombie master/panic/whatever", do you need a new copy of half life? My buddy has a copy and he finished it a long time ago and never uses it but he just has the DVD and no instructions. Do I need to spend another $10 or can I use his (and no it is not a "copy" because it is the original disc so nobody call me a pirate or anything). Thx.

Yes. It'll just be added to your steam account and you can download the files on whatever computer you're decide to use.

this is a great deal. you dont even need the boxed version because the only thing in it is a CD for steam. you're gonna have to download it anyway.
Great deal and set of games...tempted to get this deal if not for weird nauseous feeling I get when I played, or even think of, HL2. This does not happen with any other FPS.
Say no to steam crap, pay the money if your conscience demands then get a cracked version so you don't depend on a developer's network to use what you payed for.
