Onrebate.com tried to deny me of the $100 rebate stating I didn't send in the invoice. I luckily had proof and made copies of what I sent in and also sent a report to the BBB which prompted them to allow me to resubmit my claim.
BEWARE of onrebate - I think their practices may be pretty shady.
erm .... $20 rebate NOT $120 .... You gotta luv em ... eh!
It is two seperate rebates $20 and $100 for a total of $120.
Here's the $100 rebate: http://service1.pcconnection.com/RebateCenter/12150.pdf
I did two previous deals for 19" Hanns-g monitors.
I like both the monitors, just fine for my everyday use. If you're a hard core gamer, I don't know what to tell you.
No problems with any of the 4 or 5 Onrebate rebates I've submitted to date. (But I do keep copies of all rebate paperwork submitted for any rebated deal I do)
i had a question. what if i ordered 2. rebate says 1 per household. what does this mean?
1. do they check the shipping address used?
2. do they check the return address when you fill out rebate form?
3. do they check your credit card number?
thanks...
If your shipping address doesn't match your rebate address, they will give you a problem.
Well, let's hope the rebates work. Just ordered one...nice to get rid of the 15" one for the 19" if it works as well as they say.
I got a (code) free shipping ($16.95) cool !
#1) Actually, you probably sent in your packing slip that came with your monitor's shipment, and not your invoice. If you sent in the invoice, like they ask for, you wouldn't need photo copies because the email you received was your invoice. My girlfriend did the same thing with her rebate on a memory card. She didn't have to report anything to the BBB, she just emailed them and asked them why it wasn't being approved, and then she resubmitted the correct information and all was good.
Your packing slip doesn't show either the billing address, and/or how much you paid for it. The "invoice" would show both, which is the info they are looking for.
All you have to do is follow directions, and I've yet to be denied a rebate out of the dozen or so I've done this year.

Just want to put in a little plug for PC Connection. I went for this deal and received the Monitor this past Tuesday. Unfortunately, the unit was DOA. I called tech support at PC Connection and they confirmed the problem. I had a replacement unit that worked delivered the next day, along with a prepaid shipping label to send back the bad unit.
Note that Hann-g does not offer any support at all at its' website.
I had to email a couple of times for my OnRebate but I got it, no 'hassle', just persistence.
As far as quality, I game with mine and it's 'acceptable'. I've now bought a second one for my parents [i wanted to replace their old CRT that had to 'warm up' - don't know why it was like that but it was pretty funny]
on the last one I've recieved notice that both rebates were recieved.
When in doubt or to make sure, send a copy of EVERYTHING, invoice, packing slip, rcpt - I never heard of anyone getting denied or held up for sending too much.
#13, wouldn't having to call in a couple times to get the rebate, constitute a hassle?
You live on bizarro world.
My $20 rebate initially was rejected. I had exercised a $20 rebate at PCconnection in May. It turns out September's $20 rebate is considered to be an extention of May's rebate and covers four different models of Hanns-G LCD Monitor. A look at September's rebate does not even hint at this.
eMail from PCconnection:
Dear X,
In regards to your concern below the rebate company is correct by
explaining the terms and conditions with the Hanns-G $20 rebate program as "one per offer code". In most cases, customers have purchased only one of the two monitors and this concern has not been brought up. In your situation, I feel a credit is due as an exemption and have processed a credit back to your credit card in the amount of $20 on reference #21031041. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let us know. Thank you.

PCconnection Customer Service:
I have a rebate rejection notice from "Rebate-Zone", claim ID: 322xxxx, for a 20 dollar rebate that I exercised on order #41x. The notice says that I exercised the rebate earlier this year, May 2006, on order #40x.
I have attached to this email the two rebates. The rebate exercised in May 2006 and the rebate exercised in Oct 2006 which the notice says is rejected. Examine the rebate forms and you will notice that each is exclusive of the other. Each rebate is for a different product and a different purchase time period. I don't understand how the two rebates can be considered the same rebate.
