Costco.com has the Hanns G HG-281DPB 28" Widescreen LCD Monitor for $300 + $25 shipping = $325 shipped. Excellent user reviews at NewEgg.com.
28" at 1920x1200, 500 cd/m2 brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio
3ms response time, D-Sub / NO DVI, HDMI w/ HDCP, 3 year warranty
Would love to get one of these to replace my 24" Gateway, but will wait till it drops sub-$300, which could be awhile. It's been hovering between $320 - 350 for 4 months!
Wow! 4 months!? OMG!
Well, its $299.99 before shipping/tax right now. Do you think it will hit $279.99 soon or something??
Got it. Great monitor. Compare with Apple Cinama Series 30".
Been as low as $273 or something close to that, but that was towards the end of last year. I'll wait a while longer.
Anyone ever had luck finding this in store?
Does the return anytime costco policy apply to this (since it is a monitor and not a comp or tv)?
#7, what do you mean? I can have it for 3 month and then return?
According to the customer service at Costco in Westminster, CO, monitors can be returned at any time and is not limited by the electronics 90 day return policy. I would double check with your local Costco though.
#9 that is if you don't throw away the big box that came with it and you receipt. i have this monitor and love it. like all the reviews it is a bit bright and has to turn down by a lot. after using this monitor for a few hours and looking away you will notice everything is so dark all the sudden and takes a while to get used to the light setting.
#9 and #10 Does costco have the same policy for TV returns?
Nice Monitor btw.. got 2 for my parents.

dual 28s sounds sweet, almost as big as my rims
I just got one and it's amazing. Wow! I can totally see how it got Newegg's user award 4 times. If I didn't already have a 26 next to it, I'd order another.
I was going to order the KDS 26" from buydig, but in the end, Costco's super awesome return policy (if anything goes wrong) was the deciding factor in paying $70 more (after tax) for the better monitor, and I'm very glad.
