Avermedia Duet - usually $60 white box. Supported by WMC, but you don't get the remote. But you do get 2 x ATSC/QAM tuners down a single cable, and it works fine in Win7.

Don't buy this Hauppauge if you have Comcast cable service. You will not pick up QAM channels. And the few analog cable channels you will pick up will be of poor quality.

It does pick up over-the-air high definition stations. These come in fairly clear, but the picture is not as good as that on an HDTV.

Where you live determines how many stations you'll receive OTA. I live in a medium-sized city and pick up only four high-def stations. Btw, changing channels in HD mode takes forever.

    I'd skip this product.

A lot of the reception problems will come down to your antenna / direction. You can go to http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx for information. That won't fix the slow channel hopping though.

Been there, done that. My antenna's pointing in the proper direction; signal's still too weak.

Most cablecos are scrambling all QAM except for the stuff that's already OTA. They want you to pay, pay, pay

#2, That is not true at least in my area. i am using this HVR-1600 in Win7 MCE (i did have problems before when using Vista MCE) and i can pickup clearQAM channels like 9.1 & 9.2 from my comcast cable.

This is a tuner comes with hardware MPEG-2 encoder which will alleviate computing job from your main processor.
