How soon before these are obsolete? Time Warner is changing my channels so they require an adapter box.
The card can still read digital channels as long as they're not encrypted. Most providers don't encrypt local channels. You can also get them over the air via an HDTV antenna plugged into this card. If you want premium channels though, you'll need a tuner with a CableCard slot.
