    This sounds pretty amazing. I've got comcast dvr and there's no way to transfer video from their dvr to my computer. will this do the trick?

    This looks like a cheap alternative to Tivo and MythTV. It may be a pain integrating it with your set top box though, which would mean you can only record unecrypted HD signals. It says it supports set top boxes though. If it did not honor HD tagging, that would be cool, but I am sure it does.

    #9, I think that means something "Sling box" would do. You could watch TV anywhere as long as you have internet.

    The HAVA is unique in that you can connect it to Windows Media Center to "record" component video. There aren't very many other devices that can do that...
