Got this a couple months ago. I'm not sure how accurate it is but it's fun to use. It allows me to see the temperature difference between the wall and the windows. Might need to hang some curtains to keep the cold out.
I have one similar to this that was a deal at Lowe's in the summer. It is interesting to note various temps, I even use mine on food ( obviously not internal temps). Battery seems to last a long time,
