Only minus I can see is no front 3.0 ports
^ Depends on the use. For a high heat gaming case you'll want all the fan mounts and perforations for less airflow restriction. For a less power hungry rig you won't need that many fans and would benefit from blocking off some fan mounts so the airflow path is improved, and block some perforated areas so less noise escapes. Cardboard would do fine, and would deaden the noise more than metal or plastic would.
