Wouldn't this be better than the GTX 260 if you can do the ebillme, even though $5 more?
#1: yes, definitely better.
Wow, this is an amazing deal. It's incredible how cheap these cards have gotten. Plus, you should be able to overclock this card to 1ghz without much trouble, and get a nice performance boost.
i think most people are topping out in mid 900s. i think 1ghz is a push. although i've read of many reaching that speed, i've also read of many who haven't been able to so i think you still have to get a bit lucky to reach it.
Yeh #2 Do you have this card or is it the same regurgitation of others ideas agian. You wont get much from OCing to 1ghz, You most likely will bottle neck your CPU depending on speed. Great card and price, duhhh.
Who effN cares what it is.. this is a BAD thing.. these items should not be selling for this price unless the economy is near starvation levels
That's why you need to buy more things to stimulate the economy and get it back up and going again :p.
But jesus, I swore to never do crossfire or SLI... but with the way these prices are dropping there's a huge possibility I might experiment.
so, this is a bad thing? You would prefer it if these high end cards cost $300+?
That's called price fixing. This is called intense competition.
sweet
When is the next ati (5XXX) coming out? This price is great.. I hope it pushes down the future prices. Now that my HTPC is upgraded, My main rig is due for an upgrade soon.
Also what ever happend to dogfart? I would like to be told why he feels the nvid 260 is better then the higherend ati 4890.
As #4 in the last time this HIS card came up...
Having used ATI cards for years (cross-fired), I can honestly say that really, the only thing wrong with this deal is that it's for an ATI card. If your computer doesn't require a video driver, or you don't need to actually ever use your computer, then it's a great deal.

I've used about 60% ATI cards to 40% nvidia. The alleged driver issues with ATI is really quite overblown. There have been some lines that had some serious issues for short periods of time that has turned into a ridiculous stereotype that is inaccurate. Nvidia has had their own set of problems as well. Both are good products in most cases and I'll buy whichever is the best deal at the time, taking into account which company best supports the games I'm currently enjoying.
I see that all the stuff they say about you in the off topic forum is true. YOU ARE AN rodeo cowboy!
ATI is garbage and only total n00bs like you think otherwise. You should seriously give up the internet. You are not good at it.

*yawn* But how can we believe the word of an alias of a schill for nvidia? I always managed to get my ATI drivers to work with everything I ran all of the way from the 4000x series back to the 4 meg PCI VIVO card that cost $200 back in the day. The only one I ever had even minor driver issues with was the HD 2600 XT. It works perfectly now in my HTPC, including audio pass through over HDMI. Perhaps it's user error that is causing your bias, noob.</td> </tr></table><span class... [Truncated]

How many aliases do you have? Seems like quite a bit according to the people in the off topic forum. I just know that you haven't denied one word of all the stuff you have been accused of. It sure as hell seems like they have a lot of proof.
How many sexual favors have you traded to Compwiz for your crappy ATI video cards (I mean doorstops)?

Should be around October of this year.
nVidia has been having some trouble with their 3xx generation, it's looking like they won't be able to release those faster cards before sometime next year.

dogfart seems to be an nVidia fanboy. As it stands, the nvidia 260 is definitely slower than this card.
His argument is more that if you run CUDA applications, you'll get a performance boost from running a nVidia card that supports it. However, that has no effect on game performance, so if you're going for game performance per dollar, the 260 is not the card to buy right now. Unfortunatley for nVidia, those 260 and higher graphics cards are expensive to manufacture, so they'll have trouble lowering prices any more.

#5, why do you think these prices are a bad thing? You obviously dont know about the DX11 cards coming out in a few weeks. why do you think its so cheap? because they have to get rid of their crap stock. maybe you should read up on pc trends more often.
ALL ATI CARDS SUFFER FROM THE "ati2dvag infinite loop error"!
THIS WILL CAUSE RANDOM BLUE SCREENS!
DO NOT BUY ATI PRODUCTS!
