I went to Circuitshity for their "up to 40%" off clearance. Most everything was 20% off so a 1TB hard drive ended up at $136.

Awesome. Now explain to us why you posted a CC comment in a thread about ZZF? And what makes $136 a good price?

Anyone know if you actually receive the rebate from zipzoomfly? Have not purchased from them before.

I was simply contrasting CC crappy price on a 1TB drive. I always buy my parts from NewEgg and ZipZoomFly.

This looks like a good deal. Has anyone had any experience with Hitachi?

I've had 250Gb HDD Hitachi for almost 5 years and no problems so far. Recently, just bought this 1T for $80 after rebate of $30 from Newegg.

never had any issues with Hitachi drives before
my 4 year old 200gig Hitachi has been abused like no other with my torrent partition on it, and still solid
ordered a 1TB Hitachi from a few months back, been working great

In defense of CyrusSujar, one has to shop at places other than the usual in order to know what a deal looks like.

Given that Circuit City is closing all its stores, it would not be unreasonable to assume they might actually have some deals there... apparently not.

There aren't any deals at CC. They had the Samsung TV I bought myself for Christmas from Amazon for $400 more than I paid (granted I did get the deal of the century).

In regards to hard drives I paid $95 for my 1TB 32MB about 3 weeks ago so this is comprable (sp).
