Hitachi's power saving drives are very slow. My 500 Gb/16 mb cache is way too slow for Gta4.

#2 Hard drive performance can vary drastically even from within the same model line. Just because the 500gb version is slow doesn't mean the 1TB will be also be slow. A person is better off looking up a performance chart before making an assumption.

To me it looks like the Hitachi 7K1000.B 0A38016 has fantastic performance, on par with the Samsung F1 1TB which is known to be a very fast drive.

i would think 1tb would have a larger cache
