    Looking for one or two of these 1TB drives for media server (e DVR/HTPC). Will I be in trouble with something like this? Seems to be the cheapest price (but regular price, not really a deal), but am I missing out on reliability? Will small cache impact performance? Any other comments?

    Samsung drive is same price...

    just pulled a trigger on one. i figured for a backup server the 16mb cache will do just fine.

    Also, I had a Samsung drive conk out on me after only 3 days of use recently, will stay away for a while.
