well the price is ok, especially since there's tax the 2tb drives on sale are cheaper per gig.
Twice as many platters = higher failure rate/shorter lifespan. At least we aren't paying a premium for 2TB anymore, in a fair market they ought to cost less than two separate 1TB HDDs.
