This is a good deal. Also I have never had a problem getting rebates through zipzoomfly. Over 25 now.

I've been using one of these for about 5 months now in my main PC. No problemsbacon does make a strange sound, though, when it spins up from power savings mode.

FYI - My experience with the "DeathStar" concept in these drives was in 3.5 and 2.5 drives. The worst volume admittedly was about 2-4 years ago (and that's because my company switched to a PC manufacturer that does not typically use Hitachi drives, but when we have a hard drive fail, 90% it's Hitachi, including CURRENT Hitachi drives).
