This would be a great price for a 1TB. (Hitachi 1TB's were around $70 last week).

i agree with #1 not a deal
Decent price for 500GB. I haven't seen them much cheaper. I haven't filled my 160GB drive, so not sure if the 1TB drive is worth the extra $20 - $40.
Yea not really a deal for a Desktop HDD, Especially when its a Deathstar. I'd skip over it and bide your time, Samsung has been pretty fair on the deals lately.
Nothing special really, especially when you can get a WD Black 640GB for $60.
I'd like to note that while this drive comes in both PATA and SATA interfaces, they are either one or the other -- not SATA with a free PATA adapter as Ben seems to suggest. So far as I know this one on sale at NewEgg is strictly the SATA variety.
