@#1 yes, especially since it is a 7200 rpm and USB 0
$5 less then what i paid for the USB 2.0 7200 rpm externals pre-flood.
free shipping and limit 2.
run crystaldiskinfo on it before you rip it open.
there is no easy, clean way to open up one of these enclosures. it has one-time clips on the inside (2 each side) that have to me broken. looking at the back where the USB and power cords plug in, where it says Hitachi, the lid is on the H side. you can try to break the clips with a flat blade or screw driver, but that is very dangerous and you are prone to self injury. an easier way is to use a hacksaw and carefully cut all around the lid side and break the clips.
@#3 most of those problems are with the enclosure itself, just like with the USB 2.0 version. take the drive out and put it inside the computer and 99.99% of those problems will go away. i've had my drives from the USB 2.0 version in the computers for 2 years now.
Now that's a good price.
