In my experience, any consumer grade "steam cleaner" is a worthless piece of baconnaise. If anybody knows any different, let me know. Try Ebay for a used Rug Doctor. Of course, they cost a lot more.

Alternatively, go to Home Depot and rent a Rug Doctor with cash and a fake ID. Just understand that that if word gets out on the cell block that you got put away for trying to steal a carpet shampooer, you will more than likely end up being raped.

Oh for the good old days when people like Obama would have been cleaning my floors. Still, Praise Jesus for giving us illegal people instead. *smirk*

Have one and it works fine but it's a pain in the ass to clean when you are done.

These are definitely much better quality than the Bissels. My hoover cleans the dog messes very well.

Wetvacs work well, depending on the brand and model. For years I've used my ShopVac-style wetvac to clean stains on our carpet. I ordered one of these things last week based on the very positive reviews on Newegg and Amazon.

#2 is 100% correct. Spend the extra $$ on a Rug Doctor. I purchased one 4 yrs ago on eBay and it has paid for itself already.
