Newegg has the HP 4.7GB 16X DVD+R 100 Packs Cake Box Disc Model 02055 for $15 with free shipping. A good price on name-brand discs to store your data. Good NewEgg.com customer reviews.

HP is a name brand for printers and computers but not for blank DVDs. TDK and Verbatim are name brand blank DVDs.

My HP inkjet CD printer software defaults to HP CD's, this will make for a few less clicks. In for one.

In for 1. Good deal. I found that my Dell 9300 laptop doesnt like DVD-R discs. I had my daughter pick me up 100 pack of Memorex with her employee discount at BestBuy and those were $22.

Storage on devices like HDDs might be better.

pro: less space for storage, faster access for large amounts of data, unlimited rewrite/data editing, DVD becoming legacy equipment.

con: possible drive failure (DVD/CD data also deteriorate over time).
