HP really loads you up on the bloatware. Almost to the point of being malware. And if you have other Win 8 computers their bloat will spread to those as well. Expect to have to reset your browser homepage often on all win 8 computers under the same login.
^ ?? Seems more like your network caught a virus unrelated to the computer or some rogue technician installed something HP didn't intend to put on that individual unit.
As for the bloat, yeah there's a little more than most people want which is where Add/Remove programs and startup monitors like HijackThis come into play. It's not a big deal to lean down a factory install, pretty much something expected.
