#1 This is a better deal since it has 3.0 software version, 1TB HD in 1 slot, leaving you 3 available slots and most important is the eSATA is multiply ports. Plus you have to pay the sale tax if you buy it from HP. But I do not know this seller, how good are they? Any one?

The EX487 can be upgraded to 3.0 for $25, but I think you have to add some RAM.

I've bought a few digital cameras from Beach... it's the type of place that, after you place your order online, calls you and tried to up sell you... sell you extra batteries, etc... My Nikon rebate was processed just fine though. I'm pretty sure they are OK for other electronics.

This is a good deal. There's been some speculation that you may be able to upgrade the proc on this box to a dual core Pentium as fast (or faster) than the one in the 495.

Plus the port multiplier can support five drives instead of four (ex47x) or one (ex48x).

One of the shady dealers around NY tri-state area that MAY have come clean. As Ima has said still trying to upsell but that is nothing compare to what these dealers were. Horrible sale tactic-forgot about your rights as a consummer unless you can resort to the local general state attorney Smile

Sister company of Buydig. Internet name is BUYDIG.COM. Brick and mortal stores is Beach Camera ( a relic of the 70s scam stores- they all use camera/photo in their name except for J&R ) These are middle eastern own stores that never do business on Saturday: look for their operating hour.

But as I said people got their deals last few years though Buydig.com so they MAY have reform like J&R but I have dealed with their brick and mortal stores and they were scammers ( pre 2000)
