Which processor is better/faster between the "AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core" and the "Core 2 Duo T6600 2.2GHz"?
Just bought this last night...on the phone now with HP to get the new coupon added...
I would go with the P7450 (2.13GHz, 3 MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz FSB) processor...
hp laptops are great. ive had mine for a few years now with no problems.
i have a company issued HP and the keyboard feels very filmsy.
We've not had good luck with our HP desktop that is 18 months old. Video card in it died and our repair tech said due to the way HP engineered the desktop it has to have a low profile video card. Thus we are now limited to what replacement cards we can use and it will probably die of another overheating problem in the future due to everything being so crammed into the space with no wiggle room. It isn't even one of their slimline desktops either. Just recently bought a laptop and I wasn't about to give HP any further business.
#7 ehh <_< desktop=/=laptop. I understand you not wanted to give them money, but the overheating problem probably wasn't caused by the card being low profile so much as inadequate cooling for the inside of the case. Did you add any hardware to the case? Were any of the fans not functioning properly? Was there lots of dust build up? If you answer yes to any of those, then you can't really fault the manufacturer for the video card dying as those issues should have been looked at more carefully.
I've had this (except 2.1 and 3GB) 6 months and I love it. However, if I'm using burning/converting software, it gets hotter than a MF. Sometimes I think the thing will spontaneously combust, but so far so good.

Coupon is dead: HP wouldn't adjust the price for the new coupon, had me cancel my first order. While waiting for the first order to clear (And clear credit card) the coupon expired...
Will have to wait another week or so until the next round of coupons are released...
This is a great price with a decent graphics card and blue ray player.
