Don't forget most states will have to pay tax which will add another $40-$50. Decent price for the hardware though. Only thing that's not so good is the low resolution for a 16" screen. You can upgrade it to a 1920x1080 but that adds another $175.

Not a bad deal, but I think the pre-built machines at retail stores tend to be better deals for laptops vs the customizable ones direct from HP/Dell/etc.

^ also, with pre-built ones in stores, the computer probably wasn't UPS'd around. It was probably delivered on a pallet to he store along with a bunch of other merchandise from a warehouse, and the product is treated better by the store than by UPS.

When I worked at Target for a short time, the rodeo cowboy literally threw their boxes off the delivery truck. I could hear the glass breaking in them too. So stores aren't any better than UPS. They get delivered either way, the same way.

Not sure about this particular deal but from my experience HP does not usually stack their instant off with a coupon code. It's usually either one or the other.
