I have one of these. It works, except if you run out of paper during a print job. After adding paper you must manually shut down the print spooler Windows service, then restart it, in order to free up the spooler. HP acknowledges the problem but has no fix. Their advice "don't run out of paper in the middle of a print job".
Thanks for the post. I'm glad these were helpful.
#1- thanks for quantifying your second sentence. i was gonna say ...
I highly recommend the SAMSUNG ML-2510 over this. Why? The refills (the kind where you actually refill the cartridge tank) for the Samsung are cheaper, and more importantly, they don't require you to burn a hole in the side of the tank, refill, and then cover the hole with a piece of tape the way the HP's do. One of my employees went to shake the cartridge and she removed the piece of tape in the process - KABLAMOO! Toner shot out of the cartridge like a dust cloud and was EVERYWHERE! It was both funny and sad at the same time - and it pretty much destroyed with HP printer with all the caked on toner everywhere. With the Samsung you pry off the top of the cartridge, fill the tank, and put the top back on - no burning holes, no piece of tape, no toner everwhere.. Easy as pie, and as I said the refills are cheaper too. The SAMSUNG ML-2510 can often be bought on rebate for around the same price or cheaper.
Pretty lame, #1 - just open the queue, right click on the paused print job, and click on "resume printing".
