$300 should buy "n" wifi and Windows 7 at this point in time. And a 250GB HD.

Also look at the acer 1410. Netbook size and battery life with a REAL CPU and screen res. I just got one and it's awesome. I paid $350 at a Fry's after christmas sale but not sure if that price will come back around soon. It comes with win7HP and is very thin and light. It's thinner and (slightly)lighter than my 1000HE but is wider due to 11" screen. Still, the native res is 1320x768 which is so much better. It also gets 5-6 hours of run time. It's also a dual core CPU that is way faster than these atoms.

However, some of these atom machines still have AMAZING battery life and if that is a top priority for you then the 1410 may not be right for you.
