Has anyone else had a problem with the top part of the HP laptop case (the LCD part) cracking due to normal use? My HP Pavilion DV7 with the 1920 x 1080 display is being sent to HP so that they can fix it at their expense. The bottom left has cracked and the bottom right is starting to crack.
It takes 2 hands to open up the laptop - one on the bottom center and one on the top center - to force open the laptop. The effort to open the laptop is (in my opinion) placing stress on the case causing the cracks.
I have had the laptop for 8 months and these cracks/broken case happened after only about 4 months. Laptop is adult-owned and used very lightly.
I do hope that HP pays for these repairs and any subsequent repairs and that I do not have to see how good American Express (how I paid for the laptop) can treat me.
