Any good? Please provide your feedback.
Hmmm, could be interesting. I think Dell has been running similar deals lately, but the big plus for me is HP does not appear to charge tax in CO.
A couple of years ago I set-up 2 cheap HP box's for the wife and I. Dual core, I swapped out the pwr supply and added a better graphics card. Both still running, rock solid, no heat issues. Cases are cramped to work in and I had to tie all the cables back for airflow.
HP comes with plenty of resource hogging crapware, but I seriously couldn't build them more cheaply.
#1, I bought a m9400t right after 1/1 with similar specs and paid a little more. It seems like a good price
#3, I agree, so far so good. And I agree about the cramped cases.
#2, I had to pay sales tax for delivery to a Colorado address.
The M series are set-up as Home Theater PCs with HDMI out and TV tuners. I have an older one that I bought about 2 years ago and it is still going strong. I use it as over the air HD PVR.
It also works as a Netflix device, so you can watch streaming movies.
Only down side for me has been space, due to the two portable hard drive bays, that would have to be cut out if you wanted the space for something else.
Great deal - I got the m9400t late last year for the same price and it's been great. Only complaint is the microATX mobo and small case - I'd rather than full size mobo and case.
Hi have this Quad m9000t HP computer but with 3GB RAM and Vista basic (bought it about 1.5 years ago)... the only issue with the computer has been the lightscribe drive (P O S) but everything else has been working fine. Oh yeah and VISTA sucks ballz ... not sure if the 64 bit version is better performance wise but regular VISTA can suck it.
