We tried to save a few bucks and tried to stop being T-Mobile's bitch by going with Virgin Mobile. Horrible coverage and non-existent customer service. Still looking for a decent carrier....Virgin's not it.
Get straight talk, they either use TMobile Towers or ATT towers. I have it and it uses ATT towers and it's pretty good.
i had exactly the opposite experience of #1 - been on Virgin for 3 years now and i love it. they use the sprint network, so it's worth checking to see how coverage is in your area first. i had an issue with a Blackberry someone gave me not activating properly, customer service was super helpful. for the price i pay and the features i get, i'm saving tons of money compared to my friends, and i have no complaints.
