I think this old machine is still better than those new machines made by the firm that IBM sold this line of product to.
legendary build quality but since tech moves so fast, makes this machine seem prehistoric.
I have one of these and build quality is very poor. The solder in the motherboard has issues with breaking/separating, causing erratic crashes.
It sounds like it is common. Googling the issue even brings up a YouTube demo on how to heat the motherboard to re-melt the solder (might work, but looks pretty risky).
