Snagged one. Just what I needed to re-use a large ide drive in a new build.
I bought a couple of these from Meritline a few months ago. Shipped from Hong Kong and took a long time. They're very cheaply made Chinese junk. There was some weird sticky residue all over the electronics from manufacturing. The tiny instructions sheet was a bad Chinese-English translation and not of any real use. Even the SATA cable was cheap. The plastic around the connector breaks at the slightest pressure leaving a loose cable that doesn't make good connection. Never got them to work and threw everything away.
what #2 said is true, I bought two couple months back and it's totally junk, not working at all, sticky residue all over the place, it's a scam !! DON"T BUY the junk !
I had a similar experience with a CF-IDE adapter from them. Well, it worked for a few hours and then stopped. At least it wasn't expensive.
if the product worked, would the ide to sata adapter make the old drive as fast or almost as fast as a regular sata HD?
