Meritline has the IDE to SATA or SATA to IDE Adapter for $4 with free shipping. Compliant with serial ATA specification, One 4pin power connector, converts sevial ATA to paraller ATA.
this is a great deal, you should order more than one. At this price everyone here should get one as this is a very important device to own. I sure hope soon they create a SAS to USB device like this one.
This does seem to be a great deal. What I don't understand is how they offer free shipping on it from Hong Kong. Seems that it would cost more that 4 bucks just to mail it. The last time I received something from Hong Kong with free shipping, it was sent registered mail for a $2 item!!
I bought these back in july as a "just in case" I need to replace my Tivo drive with a larger SATA drive. Didn't use it yet, hope it works when I need it though.
#9 and #15 I bought 5 of these few month ago, All works fine. At that time, Mertline is the cheapest. I like DealEx, Where they have Volume Discount, while Mertline don't..

Man, I've always wanted one of those sevial drives! All I've got is the older paraller drives!!
Been's ben drunking again.
Hong Kong air mail. See you in 2 weeks...
I bought this and it doesn't work

Well, more people are interested in those IDE/SATA to USB kits that also include a power supply.
How do they ship ANYTHING from Hong Kong for $4? Seems like it would cost more than that to move air, let alone a product.
You can get better ones for a similar price from DealExtreme or monoprice.
it's a great deal!
when it works.
oh well, bestbuy charges you more than $4 for a power cable, or a SATA cable. What do you expect?
For $4 it's worth a try.

In for one....I bought from them before and while not speedy, stuff always got here.
This is absolutely correct, plus these are reputable, unlike the scum from Bensie's pals at Meritline.
Have a couple from Meritline, work fine.
