I recently got one of these. It's bulky, but that's probably true of all wind-up flash lights. Don't plan on just sticking this in your pocket unless you like a big bulge. The batteries do not really store a charge for more than a few hours. If you wind it up for a while, turn it on for 30 seconds, then go back to it a few hours later, your wound up charge will have already dissipated. Not really a big deal since you just need to wind it up again.

Here is the deal on these crap lights. Hurricane season in Florida. Pitch black. 3 weeks no power. These lights outshine a battery powered flashlight any day. Yes the light is dull. No you can't shine a deer and blindside him with your Winchester. Yes you can barely light up a room in the pitch black and NOT stub your toe on the bedroom furniture. Some light is better than no light at all. Even if its just a little light. Now you just have to wait for that next hurricane to use them.

What? No comments about #1's "Don't plan on just sticking this in your pocket unless you like a big bulge?" Ben's Boyz must be sleeping....
