I have one, the battery is useless. Prepare yourself to crank for every second of use.
hand held items has alot of random items that look like the were maid by 12 year olds in china.
Mine worked fine at first, but over time (2-3 years) the charge has lasted less and less. Now I get about 30 seconds even after several minutes of winding. In a dire emergency, it will light as long as you can keep cranking, but that is less than convenient.
Eneloop rechargables in an LED flashlight is the way to go. Without use, then should be recharged every 6 months or so.
