Not a good tv, even though the 47 in. 1080p gets great reviews at bb,com

I bought an Insignia two black fridays ago. The picture quality out of the box is not good compared to other, more expensive models. However, once I adjusted the color and contrast settings, it became much nicer. If you are just looking for an inexpensive, basic TV to replace an aging tube tv with; then an Insignia tv is just fine.

My mom has a 32" 720p Insignia and the picture is great...even on a low def coaxial cable signal. It has a buttload of inputs...2x HDMI, 2X Component, VGA, s-video, composite, coaxial.

We have 4 game systems and a computer hooked up to it and still have inputs left.

That being said, these days I'd want to get it for less than this $500, though.

There's a 32" posted earlier for $398. I'd rather get a $30 external DVD player than pay over $100 more for a built-in one. The internal player might fail, and will probably be obsoleted by media players in the not-to-distant future
