    The heading says: Inspiron Mini 9 1.6GHz 512MB 8GB

But the description says: 1GB DDR2, 4GB SSD

    So, which is it?

#4 - do your work for Ben and his quest for clicks? And is it that hard for Ben to cut and paste?

So this isn't a widescreen? 99% of webpages require you to scroll down but the stupid design people make widescreen netbooks. It's not a DVD player so why would you make it widescreen? Why are people who design things so stupid?

#1, it is cheaper than an iTouch so maybe you can justify getting one. Very Happy

I got one coming for free by ordering Verizon Fios TV. woot!

#9 the website said 16GB is recommended. They said there is a workaround to get it on an 8GB, so it looks like the 4GB won't work.

I just built the unit Ben has for $209. 4 gb ssd / 1 gb memory. If I chanegd the SSD to 8 gb, the price jumps to $244.

I currently have one it it is great for traveling and surfing. I even loaded up several older games and they run great on it. I added 2 gb and tossed the 512 that came with mine. I also have XP home but plan to upgrade it to Windows 7. Several already have and say it works great.

I just upgraded the stock wireless G to N and added a 3rd antenna. This system is highly modable. You can add in internal GPS etc.

I say for $200 buy it. If you toss the mem / ssd and upgrade to 2 gb ($30) and 16 gb runcore / super talent ($80 - $100) and N wireless ($30) if you can support it and you won't be disappointed.

looks like they pulled the deal, the $199 mini disappeared from my cart, the dell rep on chat just told me this:
"As I check on my tools here it is for $239 and I believe there has been some online errors at the moment. And we have to report and verify it to the marketing department. About this specific promotion."

#15: Glad I jumped on this when I did. The bastards have been taunting me with $199 prices for the past 4 months and I keep missing them.

Maybe they will keep them around this time.

yes, i know, I went all the way to that point.
Also, I contacted support, if you read my whole post and they're aware of the problems.
Still having them too. From this support session "yes we have a problem online"
But, the support rep this time place my order manually.
