Too bare boned.
could be nice for the ChromeOS
These are nice units. 4gb is a little tight, but linux has a smaller footprint then windows and also runs faster. Oh and is free.
Simple upgrade to 16 or 32gb ssd. Memory upgrade if you really want it, to 2gb would be really cheap.
Just added internal bluetooth to mine for $10, also added a free abgn wireless card card from a salvaged laptop.
It is somewhat sparse as presented above, but the Mini 9 is actually a very good netbook. The screen is fairly high quality, battery life is good, and the unit is solidly built. Somewhat small, but great in a pinch.
Best deal is to buy the cheapest version (as above) and configure as you want. My daughter has one, and it runs great once the SSD was upgraded to 32GB, the ram upgraded to 2 GB, and Win 7 was installed (and no, it wasn't cheap after all that).
These were going up in price for awhile, once they were discontinued in June 2009.
Also, for those who care, the Mini 9 is known for being very Hackintosh-friendly; the chipset and hardware work great with OSX.
Running OS X with no issues on mine.
4GB is plenty of... GB, if you use DOS.
@ #6 where have you been all these years??
I picked up the Vostro A90 two days ago for $206 with built in bluetooth and a 16 gb ssd. The A90 is the same netbook but rebadged for the business lineup. It doesn't come in "promise pink" though like this one can.
