This does not sound like a great deal, specially since some comparable computers are running XP. If only this mini PCs had a Blue ray player.

I played with the HP at costco too... its wonderful. I want to ditch my current vista-running toshiba bag of bricks for it.

I had an ASUS Eee for a brief period, but it had Windows XP, and I kept bumping up against the 4 Gb ceiling. I would have been okay except I did a couple things wrong and had to do System Restore a couple time, so I became afraid to turn it off, which pretty much ate up my entire 4 Gb.

If you touch type, this will be too small. 10" netbook is the minimum size for touch typing.

I bought a MSI Wind 10 inch for my daughter's Christmas. I looked at the 8.9's locally and the keys were too small for someone who would do a lot of typing.
    $350 at New Egg.
    Larger keyboard.
    1 gig ram.
    120 gig hd.
    XP
