SandForce-based drive, I'll pass. Just like every other SandForce-based drive, I'm finding plenty of feedback saying the drive failed or is failing.

I have the 120GB version of this drive and have had it for 9+ months running day and night and it's had no issues.

I have the 180GB version and it's been excellent. Was a great replacement for my old Raptor drive.

BTW I paid $140 for the 180GB version earlier this year and it was worth it.

While this does indeed use the SandForce SF-2281 controller, it seems that Intel has worked their magic in quality assurance, according to AnandTech:

I installed three Intel 520's, and had to return two due to BSOD's, freezes, etc. on previously stable systems. The other one appears to work fine. I switched the two out for Samsung 830's, and the one I installed appears to be just as fast, and so far no problems. The other one is on its way. The SF-2281's are wicked fast, but Intel still haven't ironed out all the issues yet, although they're the best of the lot if you want to go with SandForce.

The above 330 is a super price, if you buy into Intel's SandForce solution. The 330 is just a rebinned 520, fyi.

My 256GB Sammy cost $182 at B&H Photo after $10 off.
